Digital Dental X-Rays

In 2005, Compass Dental embraced digital radiography, or digital dental x-rays, for a variety of reasons. Number one: safety. Digital dental x-rays are safer for patients and for our staff, reducing everybody’s risk of exposure to harmful rays by almost 70%. The benefits to the environment were a big factor in our decision. Moving from film to digital x-rays meant eliminating all of the toxic, potentially harmful chemicals needed to process film, plus reducing plastic waste from producing the images. And since our digital archive can be connected with insurance companies directly, we are saving a lot of paper (and a lot of time for our patients!).
